Ganderbal boy felicitated at Delhi science festival

A young boy from this central Kashmir district has won accolades at the second Indian International Science Festival (IISF)- 2016 held at National Physical Laboratory New Delhi recently.

Suhail Mehraj, a 12th class student from Wayil area of Ganderbal district, who represented for the second consecutive year at IISF won accolades from the participants as well as the organisers for his presentation about the research on the diversity of dragonflies.

The 16-year-old boy is also an award winner of the first IISF that was held at NIT New Delhi in December 2015 for his research on the ‘dragonflies’.

Talking to Greater Kashmir over phone from Delhi , Suhail said, “I am so happy that I received so much appreciation for my work.”

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India organised the second IISF-2016 at national physical laboratory campus New Delhi from December 07-11. The first IISF was held at NIT Delhi in December 2015.
